As a new principal of GFPSG, I am delighted that the school’s values align with my own personal values, including the importance of trust, respect, innovation and a sense of community. I know that the development of the school over the past few years has been significant. The future will built on these firm foundations focusing on the quality of school life, especially for the benefit of our learners. The curriculum will continue to be regularly reviewed to ensure that it remains appropriate to the needs of our learners.

The curriculum emphasis the acquisition of knowledge understanding, critical thinking and problem solving abilities for all the students attending our school. We believe that every learner is unique and special and that they all have the ability to learn. We believe it is our responsibility as educators to nurture and develop every learner to prepare them for life. Learners are continually encouraged to appreciate our diverse community and to care for others by becoming global citizens and develop a concern and active respect for the environment.

Good character and productive learning go hand in hand. Science, Math and English literature - these things are all important in the course, but such things like emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative and spiritual growth not in religions terms but as in a celebration of the human spirit. We recognize that our school place education a social experience. For it to make any sense therefore it needs to be shaped or constructed around the relationships between the people involved in it, teachers, students, community.

We at GFPSG aim to foster a healthy learning environment for all of our learners as well as to provide opportunities for young people to interact with each other in a fun, safe and productive way ,while learning new skills and to work with each other. The personal conduct of each individual involved in the process thus affects the success of all. And each must accept their responsibility to the school and their peers in this regard. The ideals of respect, empathy and collaboration are embedded into everything we do here at the school. It might sound a little philosophical to say, but what’s really happening here is that our students are learning to be part of the world that exists beyond the gates of our school. The same would that at some point in the future they’re going to join and be expected to contribute to in a meaningful way.

We strongly believe in the importance of teachers, parents and administrators collaborating and communicating openly and frequently. We continually improve the quality of tools of communication, including giving our parents access to an interactive website. We look forward to serving you and your children over the coming years. We look forward to meeting you.
